How about something a little bit original?
An engine from a Yamaha/Star VMAX + Smart Fortwo, and you'd have a throaty sounding 1,670 cc V4 that doesn't sound like a wimpy I-4.
Heck, listen to this wonderful noise!

The thing is, this could actually keep up with a Hayabusa and it can seat comfortably.
The Busa has it in fuel economy, but that's it.

Better keep the Smart gas tank. My old VMAX hit reserve at ~80 miles.

Instead of a Hayabusa Smart Car, why not... a Smart powered 'Busa?

I am now shivering.
